The Antiquities/Creative Touch
"experience" was fantastic! When my MOPS group
signed up with Antiquities to do a fundraiser, I wasn't
completely sure what to expect as far as skill level of the
photographer, what kind of props there would be, etc. My family
was *more* than pleasantly surprised by a truly professional
photographer, wonderful props and a well thought out plan for
the scheduled photo appointments. My kids had so much fun and
their pictures reflected the care the photographer took to get
great shots of them.
I also had the pleasure of volunteering to
help parents with picking the right size costumes for their
children when they arrived for their appointments. I asked each
family (as they were leaving) if they enjoyed their Antiquities
experience. They *all* said they had enjoyed themselves,
commented about the great props and were excited to see their
portraits. The photographer was excellent to work with (both as
a parent and as a volunteer). He had a great eye for photo
composition and had a way with 99.9% of the kids. It was easy
to tell that he enjoyed kids and knew how to get great smiles
from them.
When it came time to pick up our
Antiquities portraits, I was again pleasantly surprised. I volunteered to help
with this part of the process as well. It was great seeing so
many gorgeous portraits on the tables (as the families came to
pick up their 10x13 portrait and see what other photos there
were to choose from). I was impressed by the value of the
packages shown. These portraits were truly professional (vs.
the discount store photos taken with fake props that look
fake!). I'm certain that the quality portraits we
received from Antiquities would have cost a lot more if
attempted by a local photographer and we'd have to supply the costumes ourselves!
Antiquities is a "class act" and
I recommend it to everyone with kids! I'm going to be the first
in line to buy a 10x13 Coupon next time I hear Antiquities is
coming to town! Our portraits are now framed and on our living
room wall. Everyone who comes over and sees them is
impressed with their quality. If they turned down the
chance to have their kids' portraits taken, they're resolved to
get it done next time they have the opportunity! I've been
telling everyone, "If Antiquities is coming to your town,
be *sure* to schedule a sitting with them!"
